They have a variety of salty and sweet mollete breads. You can order either a small (2 piece), or a large mollete (4 piece) molletes. They also have other breakfast options and a few freshly made natural juices. It is definitely worth a visit.
Good selection of fresh juices. Mango salsa is delicious! Mostly serves molletes (baked good) of the sweet and savory varieties, like twenty types, but also has omelettes and standard Mexican breakfast items. Prices are very reasonable and all menu items come in a small and large variety. The cuitlacoche molletes were delicious, as was the omelette.
I stayed next door in a cute little Airbnb and they told me to come to Los Molletes for breakfast. I haven’t had my breakfast yet but I will before I finish my review. They played soft and classic style jazz music that came outside wheee I sat on a patio, the birds are chirping and it’s on the side of the main road but there is parking. The service is good- the young man that helped me speaks English really well and is r actually really funny and friendly if you are open and friendly. Ok! I have gobbled down one mollete and I am going to try to save the second for later. My mollete was De La Granja- chicken w chipotle and melted white cheese on top of a gloriously toasted piece of French style bread shaped like a little boat. Delicious!!! And Eduardo (my waiter made me a map of where to go get any kind of glasses I need down at the plaza. Thank you Los Molletes for a wonderful breakfast!!
While I was visiting Ajijic, I came to this restaurant many times for breakfast. They have amazing food and super nice people. If you are worried about an English- Spanish language barrier, don’t be. I totally recommend this restaurant to anybody who likes breakfast food.
Very delicious. I plan to keep coming back until I've tried everything on the menu
I had the Nordico moletes. Very good, fresh, and tasty. The atmosphere sitting outside on the Carretera was lovely.
Based on a friend's review and the fact that I adore molletes, we opted to stop here for breakfast on the way to the Wednesday market. Delicious molletes Oaxaca and omelette. Good coffee. Prompt, polite, bilingual server. And a nicely framed view of the lake. The before the meal treat was chips with 4 salsas, including the best pico de gallo I've had so far! All of this for under 200 pesos. I'll be back to give the chilaqiles a try.
